March 7, 2025: Chicago mayor defends sancutary city status before Congress

On Wednesday, Brandon Johnson became the first Chicago Mayor to testify before the Congress in almost two decades. He was invited there to defend the city's sanctuary status, in front of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Plus, the latest on federal layoffs and downsizing at the direction of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.
