On the show this week, we’re looking at the music of Frank Loesser. Like a lot of songwriters of his era, he came up through Tin Pan Alley, then moved to Broadway and the movies. His hooks were always infectious, and he could write melodies that stuck with you. Of course, he was the man behind the hits Guys and Dolls and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, but he also had his hand in so many more songs that have become standards. We’ll hear from Julie Andrews & Carol Burnett, Chet Baker, The Four Aces, and many others.
