Zell Music Director Designate Klaus Mäkela conducts. Also on the program Shostakovich’s “1st Cello Concerto” with soloist Sol Gabetta.

Monday night October 24 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  From the Philharmonic’s archives you’ll hear Dvorak’s “7th Symphony” and Borodin’s “2nd Symphony”. Also on the program Saint-Saens’ “1st Cello Concerto” with soloist Leonard Rose.  

Wednesday night March 16 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Maximillian Hornung is the soloist in Shostakovich’s “1st Cello Concerto”.
