Enjoy an hour of classical music form our partners at C-24.

Wednesday night June 4 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the San Francisco Symphony with an all-Sibelius program. You’ll hear “Finlandia”, the “1st Symphony” and the “Violin Concerto” with Lisa Batiashvili as soloist. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts.

Monday night January 27 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week” with an all-Sibelius program. You’ll hear “Finlandia”, the “2nd Symphony” and “Pohola’s Daughter”.  Also on the program the “Violin Concerto” featuring Zino Francescatti.  

Thursday night September 21 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “Carnegie Hall Live”.  Susanna Malkki conducts the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in Sibelius’ “2nd Symphony” and “Lemminkainen’s Return”.  Also on the program Kaija Saariaho’s “Dream Wing”.  

Tuesday night September 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”.  You’ll hear Sibelius’ “Finlandia” and “5th Symphony” and “The Swan of Tuonela”. Hannu Lintu guest conducts. Also on the program Nielsens’ “Violin Concerto” with soloist Pekka Kuusisto.
