ILLINOIS CLASSICAL: The Evening Concert: MARCH 29 – 30 –31 – APRIL 1 – 2 – 3, 2026 

Monday night April 28 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on W-I-L-L 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. From the Philharmonic’s legendary audio archives, you’ll hear concertos by Beethoven, Corigliano, Hindemith and Vivaldi featuring famous soloists and conductors.

Monday night November 18 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL  90.9FM/HD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear composers conduct their music, like Stravinsky and his “Firebird Suite” and Hindemith with his “When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom’d”.

Sunday night October 8 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear Prokofiev’s “Sarcasms” from Lincoln Center followed at 7:00 by music of Felipe Perez Santiago on “Fiesta” and at 8:00 by Ellington’s “The River” Suite on “Gateways Radio”.

Thiursday night May 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s a Deutsche Welle Festival Concert. You’ll hear pianist Alexander Melnikov as the soloist in Shostakovich’s “Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings” and in Hindemith’s “The Four Temperaments”.
