ILLINOIS CLASSICAL: The Evening Concert: MARCH 29 – 30 –31 – APRIL 1 – 2 – 3, 2026 

Monday night August 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Mozart’s “Bassoon Concerto” with soloist Judith LeClair, and a “Piccolo Concerto” by Vivaldi.  Also on the program Hindemith’s “Mathis der Maler” Symphony and Paine’s “2nd Symphony”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Carolin Widmann is the soloist in Kurt Weill’s “Violin Concerto”. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts.  Also on the program Hindemith’s “Rag Time” and his Symphony “Mathis der Maler”.
