ILLINOIS CLASSICAL: The Evening Concert: MARCH 15 – 16 –17 – 18 – 19 – 20, 2026 

Tuesday night September 9 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on “W-I-L-L Classical” it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. CSO Principal Trumpet Esteban Batallán makes his solo debut with the group in trumpet concertos by Telemann and Michael Haydn. Also on the program Schubert’s “4th Symphony”.

Wednesday night January 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the fourth program in a new series from the Cleveland Orchestra. You’ll hear Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” and Julius Eastman’s “2nd Symphony”. Also on the program Wynton Marsalis’ “Trumpet Concerto”.

Thursday night January 12 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. You’ll hear Stravinsky’s “Suite from ‘Pulcinella’” and Tchaikovsky’s “2nd Symphony”, the ‘Little Russian’. Kirill Karabits guest conducts. Also on the program Haydn’s “Trumpet Concerto” with soloist Micah Wilkinson.

Wednesday night June 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”. Micah Wilkinson is the soloist in Haydn’s “Trumpet Concerto” and Anthony Plog’s “Scherzo”. Kirill Karabits guest conducts.  Also on the program Tchaikovsky’s “2nd Symphony”, subtitled “Little Russian”.
